[HLUG] Make, Do & Mend

Hi All,

Sadly, I was unable to come to last month¹s meet. I have a request for info
and advice and would like to bring it to this month¹s meeting.

The Herefordshire Green network is running a new Make, Do & Mend programme
starting in April and would like to know if HLUG would be interested in
contributing to a ŒTechie¹ event sometime in the summer, perhaps autumn?  We
ran some events last year https://hgnetwork.org/?s=make+do+and+mend and this
year the focus is on Zero Carbon. I¹d be keen to bring the magic world of
Linux to the masses and am wondering if we can offer a basic introduction to
Linux and present it within a context of renewing/repurposing/upcycling an
old machine to run a current browser safely using Linux. I¹ve recently done
this on an old laptop and keen to share / expand the knowledge, maybe do a
spot on Wordpress at the same time. I¹m happy to organise and host an event
if HLUG would be interested in coming on board.
