[HLUG] Decent external wifi adaptor s for linux to boost poor wifi signal strength

Hi

I like to occasionally work out and about, and find some cafes' wifi is
woefully lacking in terms of signal strength / quality. Partly this is
because my laptop has a metal case and internal wifi antenna so will only
work well if the wifi signal is reasonably strong.

I understand you can get similar wifi adaptors to work with Kali Linux,
Backtrack etc, for hacking wifi, where a good wifi signal is important. My
use case is a bit different, but wondering if anyone has any advice or
suggestions for a suitable product ?
