[HLUG] Can I borrow use of a Windows machine with Thunberbolt 3 port?

Thanks for replying.
Firstly a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port looks exactly like a USB3 port, but has
additional capabilities, such as data transfer etc. eg

If it has a little thunderflash symbol next to the port it's going to be a
Thunderbolt not just USB 3 connector though they look identical. You can
plug USB-C devices into a Thunderbolt connector too.
It will need to be made in last 5/6 years to be a Thunderbolt connector
