Hi we had this come in form the website contact form:
"I'm new to using Linux, after having it installed by Jake (here in
Faversham). I am contacting you due to my lack of knowledge with using the
OS, and in particular because of a recurring problem with a screen 'freeze'
and going monochrome - there's a conflict somewhere, but I can't track it
down. I would ask Jake, but he's away for a while on a new job. What I'm
asking for, if possible (?), is for someone to visit me and spend a bit of
time checking things out on the pc with maybe a bit of instruction to keep
me going with the basics. Of course, I would expect a payment for this
service.
I have Linux Mint 10 and Firefox 10.0.1 on a DELL Inspiron 530S."
I think we've had a similar post tot he mailing list before and had thought
that someone was going to contact them?
I've suggested they boot form a live cd/ into windows to check it's not a
hardware fault.
If you'd like to take up the offer of going to see them and helping out
please contact me and i'll pass the email address along.
Dan
