Hi,
I have been using the AWS EC2 Free Usage Tier to host a couple of
wordpress/drupal sites
http://aws.amazon.com/free/
Its an interesting option, you get your own Linux Micro Instance with root
and get to configure as you wish. You get a years free usage, and then you
go onto their pay as you go hosting, http://aws.amazon.com/ec2/pricing/

I'm sure there are downsides, but its an interesting option if you fancy
building your own server, but dont want to host at home or pay VPS fees.
