Just survived a trip to the supermarket. Had an idea for a Christmas game … just need a bunch of coders …
This FPS game sets you in charge of a trolley in a seek-and-find being attacked by fellow seekers (zombies) who act unpredictably (swerve/stop/reverse/block) along with the really dangerous supermarket staff stackers and shoppers with their loaded trolleys. You start with certain energy .. with seeps away over time and lost on collisions or when you are blocked. Being blocked completely turns you into a zombie immediately. Some aisles also absorb your energy more than others … the card aisle? Customer service? Long check-out queues.
Can you complete your mission before your energy runs out and you become a zombie?
Other ideas ….
Recharge energy in cafe
Recharge by clearing packaging in aisles
Recharge by getting items off high shelves for other shoppers ..
Use of self service checkout has a random element for success and recharge energy or failure and lose all energy.
Out of stock items cause you to lose energy faster
Thoughts … ?
