Hi Steve, I dont use Mandrake either, nor even the Soundblaster live.
I can offer you a couple of suggestions though ...

> Feb 2 19:46:31 cyberdaemon modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module snd-card-2
> Feb 2 19:46:31 cyberdaemon modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module snd-card-3
> Feb 2 19:46:31 cyberdaemon modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module snd-card-4
> Feb 2 19:46:31 cyberdaemon modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module snd-card-5
> Feb 2 19:46:31 cyberdaemon modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module snd-card-6
> Feb 2 19:46:31 cyberdaemon modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module snd-card-7
Try adding cards_limit=1 to the options line for the snd module
in /etc/modules.conf (or wherever Mandrake puts such config stuff)
> Bus 0, device 12, function 0:
> Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1 (rev 7).
> IRQ 11.
[...]
> Bus 1, device 0, function 0:
> VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV1x (rev 163).
> IRQ 11.
Is it OK to have these on the same IRQ?
Are these the same as they were before you upgraded?
Ted.
