SuSE...Being a fellow SuSE user I'd suggest you check over your firewall
config. Especially if you're using the pro version, check you're not
running both firewalls listed in the runlevel section. Also check that
it's not already started on boot.
On a different tack try telneting the port (telnet 127.0.0.1 8080)
especially see if you get a response using the command:
GET /index.html HTTP/1.0 <Enter> <Enter>. It's like being a browser, if
some service is listening for HTTP it should respond.
