I definitely agree that it would be a good idea!
For those without broadband, the download time of a lot of the linux
stuff is simply prohibitive: my connection (standard ntlworld) cuts off
after 2 hours. Whilst you can reconnect, not every resume works!
What's actually even more offputting, looking at some of the sites, is
that they don't specify the filesize to be downloaded. So it could be
five minutes, or five hours!
Some (all? I don't know!) Linux distributions appear to come with an
'update via internet' system: sounds a nice idea unless you run into a
big file! Can such things be configured to get their updates from CD
instead, or to abort if they find a download over a certain size?
