Well, Microsoft are listed as specific sponsors and are the only one in 
the software industry:

Anyway, as mentioned by other(s) the LUG list is perhaps not the ideal
place to discuss this.  Unless anyone objects, how about a thread on the
new LUG website to contain discussons about this?
