Philips Toucam 740K is what I use. It's supported by the pwc driver.
There's loads of others that are also supported by the same driver.
Earlier versions of the kernel had a binary version of the pwc driver
which was stripped out - lots of fuss - now it's back in, in source
form. So on many distros with a recent kernel it "Just Works (tm)".
