Yep, a very good point. The ubuntu uk podcast (which is usually worth
a listen even if you don't run ubuntu) discussed this issue in, I
think, season 3 episode 5. The example they describe is a bit more
extreme, but the points still apply here.

I much prefer trimmed email replies (or more specifically, I like to
know which part of the email the person is replying to with a
particular point), but I'm not going to lose any sleep over "bad"
emails.
