[Nottingham] Mobile phone unlocking

Folks,

For anyone that might know:

Any "cons" in unlocking your mobile phone to then use multiple sims?

How well does the number transfer system work across different network
operators?

What happens to the source and target sims when you're transferring your
phone number over?

Or is just unlocking the phone easier?!
