Phoronix has written a short article about this,
http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=OTQxMQ. I agree
it's a pity that CUDA has been chosen for this, which is only
supported by nvidia in their closed source driver, rather than OpenCL
which is an open standard available on both nvidia and amd/ati chips.
This could be very useful for turning PS3s into very powerful
computers! ( an open source project has just brought back the OtherOS
feature back to the PS3
http://hackaday.com/2011/05/05/gitbrew-brings-otheros-back-to-the-ps3/
which claims to have full access to all the hardware )
