Folks,

That was a bit of a quiet do but still good to meet up.

The Overdraft itself was such that we had the entire place to ourselves
for part of the night!

Congrats and celebrations go to Vadim for helping bringing online a new
Linux recruit!

:-)

And some good fun stuff was discussed.

Note that "this month's" (November) Linux magazines cover multiple
mentions of a more empathetic Linus and also the SJW manoeuvres. See
Linux Magazine / Linux Voice (Issue 216 Nov 2018) and Linux Format
(Issue 243 November 2018) for various articles and some very apt comic
strip comment...

Sadly, the Linux User & Developer magazine is now no more. Another bites
the dust of Linux becoming too easy and too mainstream?

Aside: There is another *Rasperry Pi Jam event* at Beeston Library
tomorrow Sat 20 October 2018, 12:30 – 15:30 BST. See:
https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/beeston-nottingham-raspberry-jam-3-tickets-48125760445
for further details and to book for fun Raspberry Pi fun!

And for NLUG, our next meet (hopefully all recovered from all the beer
fest fun) is a *foodie social* Thursday 1st Nov 2018 at:

The Angel Microbrewery (beer);
Paste (Thai restaurant).

See y'all there! :-)

Be Excellent to All and One Another!! ;-)

Cheers,
Martin
