We use hyperspin:

	www.hyperspin.com

Certainly quick and easy to set up, and allows you to set specific  
tests (i.e. successfully retrieve a web page, and check keywords in  
the content of the page to ensure you're not just retrieving an error  
page).

I believe Pingdom (www.pingdom.com) is the Web 2.0 choice, although  
last time I checked it looked a bit light on features.
