Time : 19:30 (7:30pm)

- Have you heard about the Zend Framework, or wish to know more?
- Do you wonder what all this fuss about frameworks is for?
- Would you like to be more productive?
- Would you like to write less code?
- Are you sick of doing the same thing over and over again?
If you can answer yes to any of the above, you should think about attending!
Rob is one of the listed contributors to the Zend Framework (see
http://framework.zend.com/contributors) and has written a "Zend
Framework Tutorial" which has recently been translated into Chinese,
Italian and Polish by the members of the community.
<sales pitch>
The Zend Framework's Goals are :
- Provide a repository of high quality components that are actively
supported (PHP5, E_STRICT, documented etc)
- Provide a complete system for developing web applications using PHP5
- To keep it simple (simple, elegant solutions, easily understood)
- Community collaboration (modular design, focus on reuse etc)
For further information on the Zend Framework see http://framework.zend.com
</sales pitch>
We will probably visit one of the pubs (Wetherspoons again?) afterwards;
as always anyone is welcome. If you plan to attend, all we ask is you
add your name to this page :
http://www.phpwm.org/meeting2007january25
So we have some idea of numbers.
( The website login is : phpwm / ilovephp ; feel free to edit any part
of it )
thanks,
David.
