[Preston] The software patent

The software patent is here to destroy peoples ability to change and
customise their system. It is a new way for companies to monopolies the
industry and produce shoddy work with no proof of quality.

I am not a "free software" type of guy, programmers need to be paid but
I like to have the choice to modify the code to fit my needs. I also
like learning how developers solved a problem.

With closed code and software patent developers are free to ship ugly
coded apps because no one will ever see it. Anyone else that looks to
threaten a software company will be stop. 
This is wrong!
