Hi,
make sure you have a live cd like knoppix, system-rescue or super rescue
available. I guess the suse kernel is by default a very generic one with
most modules to load on demand, rather than build in. 
The things like knoppix and friends don't solve any problems directly,
but they have a nie collection of tools and you can mount your disks to
make modifications to cinfiguration files. If then really nothing works
at the end, at least you have the definite chance to backup your data.

hi all, wondered if anyone has any advice for me.
i am on suse 10.0 and plan to swap my motherboard.
i had a bad experience recently when i swapped my hard drives around. i
got
an error with the fstab file and it never let me back in.

this time i dont wanna have to reinstall so is there anything i should
know
before changing the motherboard?
