[Preston] Optimising Apache/MySQL !

Thanks Bob. I used the mySQL performance tool to tweak my.cnf:

However, when I tweak it to satisfy the performance tool....the server
load goes sky high and I am forced to reboot and revert to previous
my.cnf.
I have even taken the generic huge.my.cnf which is placed in the MySQL
directory on a standard install...but this just slows the server right
down....
I guess I am looking for a happy medium but this is proving to be very
difficult to achieve...The server is a AMD 3200+ and has 1gb of RAM so
it shouldnt be struggling too much with the load but it is !!!
