[sclug] SCLUG: Wireless scanning

hello

i have a toshiba satellite pro 4600 and i have wireless half working in the 
way that if i run the command "iwconfig blah blah" it will connect but the 
card acording to gtkwifi does not surport scaning

does anyone know where i can get a patch to make scaning possible

the card is built in and is reconized as "Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini PCI 
Card" on windows

dual booting ubuntu with windows xp pro
