[sclug] Serial terminal emulator wanted

Does anyone know where I can find a serial terminal emulator for Linux
that isn't utterly shite? By which I mean, of course, something other
than Minicom.

The only alternatives I can find in Debian are:

- - kermit, which is nigh-incomprehensible;

- - gtkterm, which is reasonably good but is X only.

Can anyone suggest any tools?
