FWIW, I am of the school of thought that "being careful with
my email address" is giving in to the spammers.

I am going to use the 'net as I always have, and as was
intended.  If the spammers get my address(es) -- which they
have :-) -- that's tough (and my friendly SpamAssassin is
waiting to greet them).
