[Sderby] Fedora Problems, part deux

Fedora installed fine (after booting the installer with the 'nofb' option), but now it loads the OS up to the message :

Freeing unused kernel memory: 136k freed

Then it hangs there. I have taken the advice of another Linux user and checked out my grub.conf (the abbreviated output below) but so far I cannot figure out why it halts there.
My partition table is:
/ = hda1
/home = hda2
swap = hda3

*Grub.conf*

#boot=/dev/hda
default=0
timeout=10
Splashimage=(hd0,0)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title Fedora Core (2.4.22-1.2115.nptl)
      root (hd0,0)
      kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb
      initrd /boot/initrd-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.img

*END Grub.conf*

I'm sorry if this is not any help ... but thanks anyway :)
And have a very merry Christmas!
