Hello Chris
	A few more pointers would help, such as the Linux distribution you
used. However looking at the install instructions, you need the kernel
source installed at /usr/src/linuxxxxx.  Have you got this? 
If you havn't then the install of the modem software will fail and you
will not get anything installed in /etc/analog. 
 As an aside it seems to me, that to put the modem ucode and config
files in a directory called /etc/analog is a bad idea as there is an
often used application called *analog* which keeps its config files in
where else but /etc/analog. But it looks as if this dosn't apply in your
case.
