Hulllooooo people

rightttttttttttttttttttttttttt does anyone have any problems with lisa daemon? the service / daemon starts up fine during boot and terminates fine at shutdown but in KDE bitches about how the lisa daemon isnt started.  doing /etc/init.d/lisad restart brings up an error saying it was unable to stop Lisad. After googleing, many cups of strong black coffee and a series of blank faces im hoping one of u guys have a baldrick style cunning plan. Sadly as much as this pains me to admit it on suse *feels cheap saying the S word* it worked great *wipes that last part from mikes mind*   any stunning ideas would be greatly appreciated. 

oh yeah btw this is a gentoo 2004.2 box   (mike dont u dare tell me to geta  real dist)
