Are you sure it's sql server creaing this traffic?

Have you shut down the sql server and seen what other services are
running
on your NT/XP server? It may be another service which you can just turn
off.

Paul.

Hi all,

I know SQL server isn't really a Linux thing but you lot are probably
the best resource I got to get help to be honest.

Anyway I got a problem with SQL Server 8.00.194 where it hasn't started
to be used yet but its making 50% CPU usage (on a Xeon 2.0 GHz) after
about an hour of running. It's also making the hub look like a Christmas
tree with the amount of flashing it does.

Any ideas?
