ahhh don't get me wrong - I am not ditching it totaly - but I dont have  
time to fiddle around getting my network working on my main machine. If it  
was just something like sound not working I would have it installed now  
but wifi is very important to work out of the box (for the time being  
anyway). As soon as I get more time I will fiddle around and try and get  
it working in whatever distro I decide on.

I guess I am spoiled slightly by the hardware detection in Linspire - it  
really is good - shame the rest of it isn't as good.

maybe this is a good time to convince the wife to let me buy a new machine  
"for testing" :)
