I have a couple of annoying problems with the set-up of my RH 7.2 and Demon
Network Dial Up (128k ISDN). I have used the Network Configuration Tool for
a quick set-up and all seems to work well of 64K.I.e no hang up or
disconnections
After I enabled channel bundling all works well for a while but after what
seems a random period I lose routing, the line is NOT being dropped. After
looking in the logs I see that ippp1 (the second channel) is being brought
up and down depending on bandwidth. I seem to remember demon tech support
saying that I should not enable bandwidth on demand.
I have two questions:
1) where are the settings for the bandwidth on demand and how to I just
bring up the second line on dialling without any BOD?
2) In the Network Configuration Tool I am trying to set the hang up time out
to 0 so that it doesn't disconnect after inactivity. this removed the
HUPTIMEOUT=600 in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ippp0 which I
thought would be correct. but after a reboot if I type "isdnctrl huptimeout
ippp0" and it has defaulted to 10s. How do I set it to not hangup?
Thanks in advance
Hywel
