First off, I would advise you avoid tasksel like the plague. It's a tad buggy,
and it most of the time it installs stuff that you've no idea needed to be
installed.
I would advise you start the installation and when asked if you want to use
tasksel or dselect. you hit the <no> options.
Once you have a bare bones system that's connected to the net, you can then
start building it up using apt-get.
Stick the attached file in the /etc/apt/ file and run apt-get update and
you'll be sorted.
If it's not connected to a network your going to have to use the CDs.
There's 2 reasons for going about it this way:
a) you KNOW what's on your system, since dselect and tasksel install things
that aren't always wanted or will most probably never be used.
b) More fun, and less errors.
