Is the machine going to try and contact any server he has control over? 
(A bit of a long shot - probably not).  I.e. my laptop would probably 
connect to my own NTP and XMPP servers on start up, so I could watch them 
and get an IP address to give to the police if someone plugged it into the 
internet.
