[SWLUG] Technical Meeting 12th July 2009

Hi all,

The next technical meeting is set for the 12th of July 2009 at the
Quaker Meeting House in Swansea.  It'll start from 1730 with talks etc
starting at 1800.

As per last time I'm looking for the following:

Lighting Talks (5-10 mins)
Talks of any length
Demonstrations
How-tos

To kick things off I'm doing:

"n cool things to do with a text editor" for however long that takes

Or any other activity we can fit into a few hours in the fairly big
room.  It's quite possible to split the room into two and have talks at
one end and have a demo/making session at the other end.

There is a distinct possibility that we will adjourn to a pub afterwards
as it was thought on as 'being a good thing' at the last meeting.

Many people felt comfortable with a price rise so that Steven and I
don't have to spring so much out of our back pockets.  So it's now £2
for a concession and £4 for employed.

If people are coming from far away it would be good if we could sort out
a few car shares, make things a bit cheaper for people and travelling.
Sorry I've not organised it sooner and yes, I'm aware it's not the best
notice, but hopefully plenty of people will be able to make it.  The
other two are booked for Sep - 13th & Nov - 15th.

I'll post more as we get closer to the meeting.  If you are on a
linux/tech/geek/South Wales forum, feel free to post up details.  I'll
pop up a wiki page for it as per last time.  Those of you who mumbled
that you 'should have done a talk' or similar at the last one will find
emails in your inbox inviting you to do a talk.  ;) hehehehehehe.... :D
