[SWLUG] Why I won't buy from Dell again...

Thanks for all the help & advice so far...

Now that I've understood the joint liability (thanks Lisi) I've written
to the credit card company pointing out that (as Which? says) even if
the seller refuses to accept a return the credit card company should
still refund the money. _If_ they don't prove helpful then I'll try the
ombudsman (thanks Telsa). I had realised that in the last resort I could
go to the small claims court but hope to avoid putting in the time and
preparation that would take.

Meanwhile I just haven't the heart to buy a new netbook---at least not
until this one is off my hands!

I will let you know what happens... although I guess I'll have to give
the credit card company a week to respond so it is likely to drag on
into next month:-(
