FC2 has SELinux stuff in which will probably trip people up for a bit,
as well as a more recent 2.6 based kernel, both could lead to
bugs/features etc. It's normally best to wait for someone else to find
the bugs in software.....
Why do you want to upgrade ? To get a nicer desktop ? I would expect the
upgrade from 7.3 to Fedora to be quite major (almost like doing Win9X ->
XP). It would probably be cleaner/easier to do a clean install and
restore your personal files etc from a backup etc.
Personally I'll be sticking to slackware-current.
