What Simon said.

To get round this I used to use
http://www.megaproxy.com
Goto the "try it for free" link and enter what you
expect your external adddress to be and it will show
you what externel viewers can see.

It proxies page requests, so your request goes to
megaproxy who then forward it back to your webserver
and sends the results back in the opposite direction.
The requests appear at your firewall & webserver as
coming from megaproxy, i.e. an externel request so get
round any local routing/firewall issues you may have.
