Two programs I have used succesfully in the past are Lost and Found
and PC Inspector File Recovery. Lost and Found is pricey. PC
Inspector is available for free so wouldn't hurt to try it. Go to :

www.pcinspector.de

be warned, it runs on the Windows platform.

I have never needed to try any Linux based recovery stuff for NTFS.
How good would it be being as full read/write functionality has only
recently been introduced?
