Hi

I'm not a guru with either MS or GNU Linux platforms I just use the one
at the time that does the job I need being a network engineer. But one
comment I was told years ago when I worked at Planet Online when I was
very opinionated and pro Linux and against MS was that "if it wasn't for
Windows the internet may not be where it is today and I might not have a
job at that ISP" may have been referring to the fact that at that time
there was no way my grandparents could have easily used any other
operating system to sign up to and use freeserve at that time.

I'm not saying I agree or don't agree with that statement as who knows
what state the internet might have been in if there wasn't Windows, just
thought I would throw it in ;0)
