Wait until you hear the screams about Windows 8 :-)
It's inevitable that the "new and shiny" attracts developers. I think
we are in the transition phase after which it will settle down to
alternative GUIs depending on platform. I honestly don't think there
is anything to worry about, long term, despite some annoyances at present.
