[Wylug-help] Readonly option in hdparm

The maxtor representative told me that modern hard drives don't have a
"write protect" feature.
Some of the "Consumer Electronics" models have a "Drive Lock" security
feature. This apprently is enabled/disabled using a password (not sure
exactly how).

Unfortunatey, as far as I can tell this feature will disable reads AND
writes to/from the hard drive.
So, this still doesn't provide what I want.

It looks like the Compact Flash should provide most of what I need.
