Check that your pri MX (mail.ukzone.com?) is not a CNAME but an A record -
apparently sendmail will rewrite the mail if it is, to be
username at record.cname.points.to (e.g. johnc at mail.gv199.co.uk) which is not
good for your copy of sendmail to accept as local.
