I could only mount with the root user still, but this allows me to access the mounted drive with my user, so that is good enough :D  Thank you!!

Try it with ro,auto,users,umask=0222

This allows any user to mount it, any user to unmount it, and with 
read-only permissions for all users, if I recall correctly
