Ah - no, I hadn't done that. In fact I would have guessed that that would
update software, so I wouldn't have thought of it myself anyway.
It seems unwise to keep those repos in my sources.list, since they can only be
used very carefully. I'll employ my usual experimental approach by saving a
sources.list.debian and sources.list.basic so that I can easily swap between
them.
