I think Pete has a point. Implementing xml -> graphviz shouldn't take
more than a few hundred lines of code. That doesn't really need formal
requirements analysis and all the rest of it. If it's not what you want,
bin it and start again. If it is, bin in and start again.

Maybe the answers so far are

a) there's isn't anything existing (*) and
b) suck it and see how it goes

However, it's good to see a stimulating tech discussion on ylug
and interesting to see how different people approach a problem.
That's a good enough reason to keep designing toasters to me.
